Thrive KIDS!

Kids are a HUGE priority at Thrive! More than a babysitting service – We partner with parents in raising up their kids to live for Jesus! Our engaging, fun, lessons will help kids to live out God’s Word each and every day. While you worship with the adults, your kids will be safe, loved, and discipled! All children’s workers are background checked and a security check-in will ensure that your child is safe and sound, and having a blast!
CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT Process
One of our friendly leaders will check you & your child in at the registration table in our Welcome Center. Our leaders will give your child a name badge with a personal identification number. You will receive a checkout receipt, with your family name & the same number as your child. You will use that receipt to check your child out of their room.

Note: For safety, the entrance to the Thrive Kids Wing will be locked after the start of service. If you want to check on your children during the service, or pick them up early, a Thrive Safety Team member or a Kid’s Church Volunteer will gladly open the door for you at any point. For the safety of your children, only parents and Thrive Staff are allowed inside the class rooms.

Our Kids’ Church Mission
Thrive Kids’ Church is not just a babysitting service! Our mission is to partner with you in helping your child live fully devoted to Jesus. We use music, games, interactive demonstrations, and Bible based lessons to help your kids grow closer to God. We especially emphasize our “Life Story” points that help your kids know how to apply the principles of God’s Word to the situations they will find themselves in at school, at home, and with friends. We want to be your partners in showing our kids how to pursue a purpose-filled life in Christ!
Thrive Children’s workers
All of our Children’s workers are given a full background check and have been trained to provide a safe and loving environment where your children can grow spiritually. They are given curriculum that has been approved by Thrive Church leadership.
For Infants & Toddlers
When packing a diaper bag for your younger child, please include the following items:
1. Two or three disposable diapers or Pull-ups.
2. Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security.
3. A complete change of clothes (just in case)
4. Bottle (if they still require it) or a sippy cup.
Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving at your child’s class. This helps us keep track of your child’s items.
Your Child’s Health
We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our Children’s Ministries program a healthy place for all.
When you Arrive at Your Child’s Room
A leader will meet you to receive your child and any other necessary items. Please check in and note any information that will help in caring for your child such as allergies or special needs.

Should we need you during service your child’s assigned number will flash on the worship screen in the main auditorium. A child will not be released without presentation of the parents’ corresponding receipt.

Snacks
Snacks are provided for the children in the preschool rooms, during our scheduled classroom snack time. Each week, please check our “Allergy Alert” sign for items your child may be sensitive to. We will never provide peanut based snacks. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you check in your child. We suggest packing an alternative snack for your child if he/she has difficulty with allergies.
Saying Goodbye
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service is completed. If your child cries for an extended period of time of 10 minutes, we will page you.
Curriculum
We believe even our littlest ones can learn! Planned lessons are taught and reinforced with songs, crafts, play and supervised activities designed with the ability of the children in mind. Children are given a take home worksheet that includes what they have learned that day.
Pick-Up procedures
Your child’s leader will expect the same person to drop off and pick up each child unless special instructions are given at check-in. You will need to bring your receipt that matches your child’s name badge. Please make sure that all your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises.
